Windring Pottery is dishwasher and microwave safe and all pieces are designed & handmade by Priya. The Windring Pottery site was constructed using the open-source WordPress content management platform, enabling independent content editing & creation.  The mobile-friendly site features a product gallery and secure contact form.

Screen capture for the new site design for Suzanne Methot, Writer, Editor and EducatorSuzanne Methot is an accomplished author, editor, educator and facilitator.  Suzanne’s new website highlights her accomplishments, including her new non-fiction book Legacy: Trauma, Story, and Indigenous Healing (ECW Press, 2019). Suzanne’s site was constructed using the excellent and open-source WordPress content management system, and as such can be edited independently with occasional support from Black Cap Design.

Screen capture of the new ReFrame Film Festival websiteThe ReFrame Film Festival is an annual 4-day film festival that takes place near the end of January in Peterborough, Ontario (Nogojiwanong) celebrating film and art with a focus on the environment, human rights and social justice.  Black Cap Design worked with the talented design team at ReFrame to rebuild the site using the WordPress CMS allowing staff and volunteers to manage the site independently.

Screen capture of the new site design for Kawartha Potters' GuildThe Kawartha Potters’ Guild is an active, creative and enthusiastic community of potters located in Peterborough, Ontario.  The guild operates a Studio and Gallery and offers regular classes and workshops.  The new website was rebuilt using the WordPress content management platform and includes a range of dynamic features such as a private Guild Members area, image galleries, an event calendar, and an online registration system for classes and memberships.

Screenshot of new website design for Cymbolik.netCymbolik Productions is operated by Scott Milligen, an accomplished drummer and composer based in Toronto, Ontario. The Cymbolik site highlights Scott’s extensive music catalog that lends itself to soundtracks for TV Shows, Films, Documentaries and Computer Games. The Cymbolik website was designed and built using the open source WordPress content management system.  The mobile-responsive site works in conjunction with SoundCloud to allow visitors to listen to a selection of Scott’s compositions, and includes an accessible contact form with spam filtering.

Screenshot of new site design for Anne-Marie KornachukAnne-Marie Koranchuk is a realist figurative painter, living and working in Lakefield, Ontario. Anne-Marie’s website was redesigned and rebuilt using the open source WordPress Content Management System.  The new mobile friendly site features an intuitive and easy-to-manage image gallery, flexible multi-column layout, and search friendly show/hide content accordions to manage large chunks of written content.  And because it’s WordPress, the site and content can be managed independently with support from Black Cap Design.

Rob Niezen is a contemporary painter based in Indian River, Ontario, Canada. Rob’s work is in private and corporate collections in Canada, the Netherlands, New Zealand, United Kingdom and the USA. Rob’s site was completely rebuilt in 2017 using WordPress CMS software.  We set up the platform with security enhancements, and a customizable theme and Rob did the bulk of the design himself using the WordPress customizer.  Rob is able to manage his new mobile-friendly website independently with occasional support from Black Cap Design.

Anne's Studio

Anne’s Studio
Anne Cavanagh is a professional artist and illustrator, and avid member of the arts community in Peterborough, Ontario where her studio is located.  Anne’s site was rebuilt using the WordPress CMS platform.  She completed Black Cap Design’s customized WordPress training and received a written how-to document so she can now update the content and image gallery on her site independently.  Anne’s Studio also includes a newsletter sign-up form and social media links for Facebook and Twitter.

Carol Wakeford is a songwriter, poet, painter, Reiki Master, psychic/spiritual counsellor and reader, living in Peterborough, Ontario.  This site features a Flash audio player, and JavaScript image gallery.

Harries Jones

Lesley Harries-Jones is a Canadian visual artist, encaustic painter and art instructor, based in Toronto, Ontario.  Lesley’s site features a JQuery LavaLamp navigation menu, and a HighSlide JavaScript image gallery for dynamic image resizing to showcase her art.
