We recently had the pleasure of working with the Lakefield Horticultural Society to design and build their new website. We communicated closely with the Society’s Past President, Brenda Ibey who provided a clear vision for the the new website, and contributed many of the beautiful images featured on their site.
Lakefield Horticultural Society volunteers work hard each year to beautify the village of Lakefield, Ontario and provide a trove of information about gardening and horticulture, including hosting monthly speaking engagements.
The Society’s objectives for their new website included the ability to easily share information among their Members and the community as a whole, including their growing collection of beautiful photos. We recommended the WordPress Content Management System as the platform for the new site as it allows Members to contribute articles, photographs and bulletins about upcoming events. The new site includes a perpetual event calendar that allows Members to post event information that is easily accessible to Members and the public alike. The built-in blog feature allows Members to post articles in a format that automatically archives them by date.
This website was a pleasure to design and build, and we look forward to watching it grow!
